NANO is for single phase 1PH supply, three phase 3PH motors. This permits NANO to add to the well-known power saving of variable speed drives, the possibility to replace the single phase motors (technically losing lot of power) with the higher efficency IE2 and IE3 three phase motors.

RINA just certified all motive marine motors, and this is a free certification

In 2015 motive was admitted to the alternative test scheme (Certificate No. 2015 / MI / 01/537), which allows a more rapid and economical testing of three-phase marine motors compliant with RINA* standards, both for essential service and not essential service. Now RINA* also released the type design and validation tests certification for motive marine motors. In many cases this FREE certification is sufficient for the final customer, and therefore avoids the need to face the costs of the RINA
